Although LoDo is home to a growing number of tech start-ups, not all of us are particularly tech-savvy. For Apple owners, it’s nice to know that help isn’t very far away; in fact, it’s just on Wynkoop Street.
Helping LoDo’s technically-troubled since 2009, The MacSpa supports Mac users by providing friendly tech support, and taking the stress out of everyday technology. The MacSpa team hosts classes regularly on a range of iPad, iPhone, and Mac topics. If you can’t make it down to the store, they’ll even do home visits for clients.
Amy McKnight is the owner and co-founder of the MacSpa. When scouting locations for their retail store, Amy looked at Uptown, RiNo, and other surrounding neighborhoods before landing at their spot, 1738 Wynkoop. Amy says they recognized a need for Apple-specific tech support in LoDo, plus, they got a great deal on rent in the historic Edward Wynkoop building.
Amy loves that her, her team, and store are part of all of the exciting growth and change in LoDo. She is looking forward to seeing the Dairy Block project come together as new tenants open their doors. As LoDo continues to grow, Amy hopes that more of the vacant spaces get occupied with unique local/independent retail shops, restaurants and gathering places. Amy recognizes that there is also a need more affordable short-term parking for our patrons and storage lockers (at Union Station) for tourists and those traveling with luggage. (We hope to see the same, Amy!)
Keep an eye on the MacSpa’s class calendar here to keep in the know about upcoming courses and seminars. They also have an ever-growing online course library for people who would like to learn on their own time at their own pace. Or, next time you’re on Wynkoop, make sure to stop in to the MacSpa to say hello to Amy and her team. And Apple owners, ask about the MacSpa’s new maintenance plans for your Mac.
